Tower Defense Games

Internet games are famous because of the variety of applications that can found at any given time in gaming sites. Card games are for the most part popular among the older crowd, those who are a bit younger often prefer games which have a lot more action and shooting involved, these two characteristics can also be enhanced by maze game types. A clear example of this mixture can be found in tower games such as Ant-Buster.

This game is quite entertaining due to the fact that you need to protect your cake from an army of ants who want to steal it from you. In order to protect your cake you are given many tools which will help you kill those ants before they take your cake away. The tools you are given are nothing less than the miniature cannons which can be upgraded by paying a certain amount of money that a player can earn by killing a number of ants before they reach them take away the cake.

When you first start the game you are given the choice of how and where to place your cannons, placement is actually critical in this game, if you play by placing your cannons too far away from each other you will be risking loosing several slices of cake because each cannon works within a specific range which means that they can't shoot any further unless they are upgraded. Each upgrade costs a certain amount of money and these upgrades are gradual, if you want to be able to combat the huge amount of ants which I will be going your way you better be prepared by upgrading your weapons because the more ants you kill the more will be coming your way and the more resistant they will be.

As you start this tower game each ant will only resist five damage points, this means that if you have a cannon which is firing shots which will affect four points you only need to clean shots at the ant in order to kill it, as the game progresses these ants will need to receive many more shots in order to be killed for instance about 15 minutes in the game you will notice that each ant's resistance is a well over 300 points so you will need a very strong weapon in order to destroy them, you will notice that they can only be killed by the group of weapons you have placed across the field, the key to the game is always the placement of your cannons and how constantly you upgrade them.

In each and every upgrade you are given several choices, so you must take a look at the features each upgrade has for instance some upgrades will make you a lot faster but not too strong, while other upgrades will make your shots very effective but they will only be fired after a certain amount of time making the weapon quite slow, these slow weapons are always needed because they are effective but you will also need fast weapons as you advance from level to level. Make sure to take some time to understand how you can win this game by upgrading your weapons, otherwise you will end up with no cake fast.

Can I hoist the Jolly Roger on my boat ?
    Hi.fellow Boatie or anyone/
I know that maritime law forbids flying the skull & crossbones making it a pirate vessel in international waters, but at what penalty now we are out of old Elizabethan times.
The flags are available at chandlers for use as a bit of fun, and I stick one up when mooring on the inland waterways, along with the fake miniature cannon on the roof.
Surely the authourities will see the funny side, and not lock me in the brig I hope.
I also sometimes fly the red ensign, to show that I am freindly, which I am, but so did Sir Walter when acting as a licensed pirate for the crown.
I have a purple one with a potatoe emblem in the corner, for no particular reason.
    What do you reckon ?

We see them on narrow boats past our house Bob.

Like the idea of a cannon.

Actually, i like the idea of a wooden galleon paint scheme with 50 fake portholes down the side..go on, i dare you.

people should lighten up with narrowboats – we could do with some variety. Only ever seen 2 “fun” schemes – one was Winnie the Pooh, thats still knoching about somewhere, the other was a Labourghini Coutach on the side of the boat – bit over the top but it was funny…A Lambo riding on the water at 4 MPH. repainted after 2 years i think, but why not laugh at it, not at the owner ?

Having said that, ours is dark blue with cream lines. ( boring eh ? )

I woudn’t worry. BW would not care. If they do, tell them you’ll write to CanalBoat and Inland Waterways magazines pointing our thier ridiculous priorities.

You could easily out cruise them anyway – they have to have a teabreak every 2 hours so you’d get away.

It looks like what is generically known as a carbide cannon.

The Conestoga Company has produced carbide cannons for decades. Their website has “ammo” (a calcium carbide paste) that they call “Bangsite”. It comes with directions. Click the “Ammo” tab in the following link:
